Waxwork




Waxwork was released into theaters on June 17th, 1988. Filming locations include Los Angeles, Ca. It was directed by Anthony Hickox, in his directorial debut. He would go on to direct more films of the genre, like Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, Warlock: The Armageddon and Waxwork II: Lost in Time. The male lead of Mark was played by Zach Galligan, who can also be seen in films like Gremlins, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, Tales from the Crypt episode Strung Along, Warlock: The Armageddon and Waxwork II: Lost in Time. The female lead of Sarah was played by Deborah Foreman, who also starred in April Fool's Day, two years prior. Mihaly 'Michu' Meszaros, who played Hans, can also be seen on the album cover of The Doors' Strange Days. The score was composed by Roger Bellon. The films first DVD release was on September 23rd, 2003.
